i was reading about curses and got curious. there's a section in the library but they don't offer a lot of clear instructions, probably to prevent unsanctioned replications of what might be constituted as "dark" magic. istredd says magic is about heart and will and intentions, so i wondered about the intentions of a creature that promises a wish and grants a woe. do you think it counts as a curse if you asked for it?

Though not all feel the cost is worth it.

It's hard to say.

The truth is, he's learnt that wishes aside, their intertwined lifelines are just that. Like Ciri, they found their way to each other because they wanted to. And he thinks, if he and Yen had wanted nothing of one another—then perhaps nothing would have come. ]
