Geralt possesses enhanced hearing and smell, both of which he uses to determine information about people and his surroundings. Each person carries a unique scent to him and he can tell when someone's nervous or lying by their pulse. Geralt is not the type to divulge anything he learns, but he will file the information away for himself. His senses are at their sharpest when he's under the effects of his elixir ability, which only happens in combat.

On a day-to-day basis, he isn't paying close attention to everything and anything, otherwise it'd be pretty overwhelming. There can be many reasons why he misses a cue or doesn't pick up on stuff. Let me know below what you're okay with when it comes to his interactions with your characters!

<b><u>SCENT</u></b> <b>Description:</b> What do they smell like? An absence of a scent is notable. "Smells neutral" or "smells like average man" is also a 100% valid answer, not everyone has a describable scent. If they're part of a species or have a trait that matches them with another of their kind, let me know, too. <b>Alternate forms or glamour:</b> If your character can take on different forms or appearances (illusion/shapeshifting/etc), let me know if he can smell through it. This includes if they have a different form in the Horizon. <b>Close contacts:</b> Can he tell who your character's been around? Doesn't need to be intimate, but if they've slept in close quarters with someone recently or he's in a home/room they share with others, he can identify individual residents. If there are any specific relationships you'd rather not be known, just say so. If a person scrubs thoroughly before going out, he won't be able to smell it, he'll just smell the enhanced hygiene. <b>Recent presence:</b> Can he tell if your character has passed through an area/location within the day or spends a lot of time in a certain place? <b><u>HEARING</u></b> <b>Heartbeat:</b> Does your character have one and/or is it unique in any way (i.e. slower or faster than the average human?) <b>Nervousness:</b> Does your character get nervous easily and/or could he tell if they're lying or hiding something? <b>Sneakiness:</b> Generally, if Geralt can hear a heartbeat or breathing, he'll be able to tell if someone's there even if they're ordinarily very quiet, but the sneakier you are, the harder it'll be for him to notice if he's not paying close attention (i.e. in a crowd, if he's distracted, or if he's deep asleep). <b>Other:</b> Anything else you want to mention or stuff that's the exception to the above.
